چکیده
Glass fiber reinforced polymer composite parts has been started to get extensively used at the industry of space, aviation, ship, chemistry and automotive nowadays. Other than this field of usage, at processing the composite parts by machining, some problems have been revealed due to the anisotropic structure that the composite materials have. In this study, due to stress generated on the surface of hole during drilling a damage occurred on the sides of the drill. During the investigation, the glass fiber reinforced polymer composite material has been drilled under the different cutting parameters (cutting speed, feed rate, and tool point geometry ), and measuring the damage factors of hole exit surface have been carried out. Explaining the reveled results, suggestions have been mentioned about the optimum cutting parameters which requires to get preferred for less damage of surface.
